As an athlete how do you see this being part of your nutrition routine?
I typically add protein powder to my oatmeal in the a.m. and after hard workouts. I would like to switch over to using this product for recovery after a hard session.
Was there anything you had to overcome to try it?
I looked at the bag for a couple of days, eventually I bit the bullet and added it to my smoothie. You can taste the difference but it is not unpleasant.
How much do you personally taste with your eyes?
Initially I do but there are far much worse supplements that I take. Eventually you start to love it because the body craves it.
What did you expect the Aketta products to taste like?
Truthfully, I was waiting for it to start crawling in my mouth. I thought it might taste earthy.
What did it taste like?
There was a burnt taste, almost like a grilled meat. It was pleasantly surprising to me.
What do you think the Aketta product would go well with?
Oatmeal, homemade protein bar. I typically add protein powder into my version of a clean cookie, great to take on long bike rides and to have after a long week of training.
After hard training blocks what is your go to recovery meal?
My go to post workout meal, especially in the heat, is a smoothie.

Post Workout Meal with Aketta
1 medium banana
16 ounces almond milk
1 cup frozen berries (or whatever frozen fruit I have)
1 scoop Aketta cricket flour (about 30 grams)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon glutamine
Blend it together
Top with bee pollen
