Aketta Onion Rings

Aketta cricket flour adds protein to this delicious savory snack - healthy, gluten-free and Paleo.


  • 1 large sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons Aketta® cricket flour
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice from 1/2 a navel orange
  • 1/8 teaspoon himalayan pink salt


Slice onion into rings, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and a few drops of juice, set aside.

Heat cast iron skillet over medium, add olive oil and onion rings, cooking about 3 minutes. Stir in Aketta cricket flour and the remaining juice and salt. Sauté until tender and serve immediately.
